Week4: 29th September & 1st October, 2025- Present simple revision

- We revised how to talk about physical appearance.
- We practised the pronunciation final -s.
- We listened to the story of a blind date between Jemma and Pietro.
- We saw vocabulary for character description.
- We corrected Entry checker 2
- We practised  DO/ DOES/ IS/ ARE questions with a board, dice and counters.
- We started 1C and saw vocabulary for clothes and pronounciation of long e and schwa
- We did a vocabulary exercise and completed the gaps of the song Imagine, by John Lennon. 

Homework:
- Writing of a profile of the writing bank on page 211.

Week 3: 22nd &24th September, 2025

- We revised questions in the present and the past forms of verb to be.
- We revised how to tell the time.
- We revised and practised the alphabet.
- We listened to understand detailed information and to identify situations.
- We did a diagnostic listening and a disgnostic reading. We corrected the test.

Week 2: 15th & 17th September, 2025- Starting the book and the diagnostic test

- We revised question formation with a photocopy.
- We corrected unit 1 of the Entry checker.
- We asked and answered questions about ourselves.
- We started unit 1A in the book and revised question formation and how to return a question.

- We practised returning questions.
- We revised word order in questions.
- We did the grammar and the writing part of the diagnostic test.
- We practised the past forms of ver to be and telling the time.

Homework: we have units 2 and 3 of the Entry checker to do

Week 1: Wednesday 10th September, 2025- Welcome to the school!

Week 32: May 5th & 7th May, 2025- Last classes before the test

- We revised past forms.
- We checked the vocabulary about go/have/get and prepositions.
- We did some listening practice.
- We practised oral strategies when answering questions.

Week 31: 28th & 30th April, 2025- Blackout and more!

Something very extraordinary happened yesterday that stopped us from having our normal class: a national blackout.

Here you have some ideas to practise a little bit if you have the time:

- Past forms practice

- Go, have, get vocabulary.

- Verb phrases vocabulary.

- The date vocabulary.

On Wednesday 30th April we resumed classes and we saw the structures there is/there are and the vocabulary around the house.



Week 30: 23rd April, 2025- Coming back after Easter break

- We arrived from Easter break and told each other about our Easter holidays.
- We revised the past forms on page 114.
- We did a second test on irregular verbs.

Homework:
- All workbook pages up to 8A included.


Week 29: 7th & 9th April, 2025- Finishing unit 7 and unit 8

- We revised irregular verbs.
- We listened to a very memorable New Year's Eve in Brasil.
- We practised sentece stress.
- We told each other about a memorable New Year's Eve.
- We read and listened about a murder in a country house.
- We identified past forms and practised them.

Homework:
- Write about a New Year's Eve answering the questions on the book.
- Workbook of all unit 7.

Week 28: 31st March & 2nd April 2025- Class and Spring Festival!!

- We revised the pronunciation of regular past forms.
- We saw past time expressions to use with the past forms.
- We practised When was the last time...? with couples and the class group.
- We did a reading on three different New Year's Eve experiences to practise irregular past forms.

Week 27: 24th & 26th March, 2025- Regular past forms

- We finished unit 7A with a revision of the use of past forms of the verb to be.
- We read and listened about mistakes when travelling.
- We saw the pronunciation of -ed forms.

- We revised the use of be and do when making questions and negatives.
- We saw some vocabulary on music and musicians.
- We saw the life of a London busker.
- We revised units 5 & 6 with grammar, vocabulary, reading and listening exercises.
- We started unit 7 with tha past forms of ver to be: was/were.

- We did a gapped exercise with the lyrics of A Say a Little Prayer, by Aretha Franklin.
