- We did the last part of the evaluation test. written and oral.

- On 15th May we got the results and talked about study strategies and how to keep learning during the summer break.

Week 30: 29th April- Revision before the exam

 

- We answered questions about the units we're revising.

- We practised past forms with questions and answers from a gapped text.

- We described flats to rent.

Week 29: 22nd & 24th April, 2024- Renting a creepy house in unit 8

 

- We saw how to use there is/there are while having a look at a creepy house for rent.
- We practised this structure and vocabulary from the house in a couple of speaking exercises.
- We answered your questions.

- All the workbook of the parts of the book we have seen.
- Practise tests you have.

Week 28- More past forms!

 

- We practised irregular pasts.
- We read and listened about memorable New Year's Eves.
- You spoke and wrote about memorable New Year's Eves.
- We read and talked about different generations together in the same class in the school.
- We started unit 8 seeing house vocabulary and there is/ there are structure.

Week 27: 8th & 10th Abril, 2024- More past tense, regular and irregular verbs

 

- We revised the past forms of the verb to be.
- We saw the past suffix -ed for regular verbs.
- We practised the pronunciation of -ed suffix.
- We read about the past of irregular verbs.

Homework:
- Workbook for 7A and 7B
- Story in the past using the verbs in ex. 3b on page 7B
- Study the list of irregular verbs at the end of the student's book.

Week 26: 3rd April, 2024- The past of verb to be

 

- We revised the past of the verb to be.
- We practised pronunciation, reading about past autobiographies and word formation for professions.

Week 25: 18th & 20th March, 2024- Revision of the use of be/do and unit 7


- We revised the use of be and do when used as auxiliaries or not.
- We practised all this language talking about music.
- We practised the sound /j/.
- We listened to a video listening on a London busker.
- We did the Revise & check 5&6.
- We saw the beginning of unit 7 was/were.
- We completed and exercise of verbs on A Say a Little Prayer de Aretha Franklin.

Homework:
- Writing an informal email as instructed on page 201 of the book.
- Grammar, Vocabulary and Reading of the 5&6 Revise and check
- Two different sets of photocopies: revision of likes and dislikes and present simple and continuous. And a stapled set of was/were and object pronouns.

Week 24: 11th & 13th March, 2024- What do we like? Unit 6

 

- We did extra practice on object pronouns and the use of present simple and continuous.
- We saw how to say dates and ordinals.
- We practised how to talk about likes and dislikes when talking about favourite times, days of the week and months.
- We revised when to use be and do as auxiliaries and main verbs.

Week 23: 4th & 6th March, 2024- Unit 6: Telling a story with object pronouns

 - We finished Practical English and revised that we know how to apologize, buy clothes and say prices.
- We started unit 6 telling a North African Story in three parts.
- We saw how object pronouns work.
- We practised the pronounciation of some of the vowels in object pronouns.
- We practised when to use subject and object pronouns.

Homework:
- Do the workbook pages og 6A
- Photocopy to practise present simple and continous and object pronouns.
- Record the story of 6A and send it to your teacher.

Week 22: 26th & 28th February 2024- London and Practical English

 

- We saw weather vocabulary.
- We practised the use of present simple and present continuous.
- We read about London and practised the pronunciation of some famous landmarks there.
- We started Practical English In the clothes shop.

- Writing on social media and workbook of unit 5.
