Week 24: 9th & 11th March, 2026- Different uses of will/won't
- We talked about being an optimist or pessimist with will.
- We read about negative thinking.
- We started unit 6B and read about an old love story.
- We read and practised about other uses of will: offers, decisions and promises.
- We practised the pronunciation of two-syllable verbs.
- We saw vocabulary of verbs with back and their meanings

- Workbook 6B and photocopy being optimistic.

Week 23: 2nd & 4th March, 2026- The relationships crumbles!!
- We practised quantifiers talking ablut our drinking habits in a spoken exercise.
- We did number 3 of Pictures of you, the story of Ben and Izzy.
- We did number 3 of Pictures of you, the story of Ben and Izzy.
- We practised how to take an item of clothing back to the shop.
- We were anxious to know about the relationship so we did number 4 of Pictures of you.
- Here we practised how to buy at a chemist's.
- We started unit 6 with vocabulary about opposite verbs.
- We practised will/won't for predictions.
- We practised the pronunciation of the contractions of will.

Week 22: 23th & 25th February, 2026- Superlatives and quantifiers
- We practised superlatives with a set of sentences.
- We did a listening on how to be friendlier.

- We saw how to write describing the place where we live.
- We practised quantifiers talking about what we drink.
- We read about liquids that are good or bad for us.
- We learnt about too many/ too much and (not) enough.
- We practised sound /ʌ/ and its different spellings.

- Photocopy on comparatives
On Wednesday three of our classmates did a random act of kindness bringing a little something for all the classmates. Thank you Marisa, Inés and Daniel!!!

Week 21: 16th & 18th January, 2026- Starting unit 5
- We warmed up by revising our resolutions for our English studying strategies for the rest of the year, after reflecting on our results.
- We also had a look at the results of the anonymous online questionnaire, both regarding the students' and the teacher's results.
- We read about speed in our lives on 5A.
- We saw grammar for comparing adjectives and adverbs and practised.
- We revised the pronunciation of shwa.
- We did a listening on speed lives in different generations.
- We did a speaking comparing our lives today and 3 years ago.
- We read and saw videos about the best cities to live.
- We saw vocabulary on towns and cities and how to describe them.
- We saw how to use superlatives.
- We practised superlatives with a video.
- We practised sentences stress

- Reading on Random Acts of Kindness. This is a very interesting link and here we have a calendar with random acts of kindness for every day.

Week 20: 9th & 11th February: resuming lessons after the tests
- We warmed up revising present perfect structures.
- We revised -ing/ed adjectives.
- We saw how to write an opinion essay.
- We saw how to compare adjectives in entry checker 9.
- We saw our exams, the results, the correction of the grammar, vocabulary, reading and listening parts.
- We got individual feedback on the productive skills.
- We commented on class feedback on speaking and writing and the most common mistakes.
- We discussed evaluation of the year and the certificate exam.
- We did the questionnaire on Speed on 5A.
Homework:
- Write an opinion essay as instructed in the book.
- Page 208 from Teacher's book on comparatives.
Week 19: 4th February, 2026- Written parts of the exam

Week 18: 26th & 28th January, 2026- Oral test and snow
- We did our oral test on Monday but we could't do the written part because of snowy weather this Wednesday.
- We had the class online and we fisnished 4C with a video on the weekends.
- We revised units 3 & 4 on pages 62 and 63.

- Practice of grammar: Present continuos for future arrangements, present perfect or past simple and somethig, anything, nothing.
- Practice of vocabulary: Prepositions at, in, on, Right or wrong prepositions, Make or do and Shopping
- Reading exercises page 70.
- Entry checker 9 page 300, only 9C part: comparative adjectives.

Week 17: January 19th & 21st, 2026- Preparaing for the test next week
- We corrected the photocopies of relatives and present perfect.
- We saw a video about chain stores.
- We saw vocabulary on buying.
- We practised the pronunciation of letters c and ch.
- We revised the use of just/yet and already with present perfect.
- We did a present perfect handout to match questions and answers.
- We saw the meanings of adjectives ending in -ed and -ing and practised.
- We saw the use of somebody, any/nobody...
- We practised the sounds /e/, /əʊ/, /ʌ/ and also /j/ /dʒ/

- Revise everything for next week's test.

Week 16: January 12th & 14th, 2026- Resuming classes
- We have revised the use of simple past and present perfect talking about the Christmas break.
- We revised the vocabulary of housework and how to use it with do/make.

- We talked about having the oral exam on 26 January and the written parts on 28th January and revised how evaluation works for us.
- We did a short exercise and sang The Man Who Sold the World, by Nirvana.
- We practised present perfect questions and answers in a speaking handout taht folded.
- We did a listening on how to be tidy when you're lazy.
- We did a grammar and vocabulary test and a listening one, for practice.

- Exercise 5 page 59 (4B)
- Photocopy with revision for relatives and present perfect
