Week 6: 18th October- Starting unit 2

On Monday:

- We revised the use of present simple and present continuous.

- We started unit 2. We revised the past forms of regular and irregular verbs ina reading and a listening on losing things.

 On Wednesday:

- We revised regular and irregular simple past forms.

- We practised the pronunciation of -ed in regular verbs.

- We saw vocabulary on holidays and practised it with a listening and speaking practice on page 25.

- We completed the lyrics of Imagine and sang!

Homework:

- Remember to send me the recording if you haven't yet.

- Do the workbook pages for 2A.

Week 5: 13th October, 2021- Finishing unit 1 with practical English

 

-We warmed up by practising making and answering questions in the present simple.

- We revised the grammar and vocabulary test we did last week.

- We got the results for the reading, writing and listening parts of the diagnostic test.

- We did the Practical English pages of unit 1. We revised the story of Rob and Jenny and practised how to complain at a hotel.

- Homework: do all the exercises in unit 1 of the workbook.

Week 4: 4th & 6th October, 2021- Revision of the present continuous

On Monday:
- We revised physical and personality descriptions with the short film Lifted.

- We corrected the exercises for the writing of the profile on page 199.

- We revised the use of the present continuous on page 12.

On Wednesday:

- We revised the use of the present continuous Lifted and with cards that we drew on the whiteboard.

- We did page 13 of the book.

- We got the vocabulary and grammar tests back and did the reading, listening and writing parts.

Homework:

- Writing of the profile page 199.

Week 3: 27th & 29th September, 2021- Appearance and personality

 

On Monday:

- We read about descriptions and revised the use of the present simple on pages 10 and 11.
- We saw the pronunciation of final -s and -es.

On Wednesday:

- We practised choosing a date for Clint.

- We saw a listening on dating.

- We practised giving personal information.

- We did a short test on grammar and vocabulary.

- We practised adjectives with a short film, Lifted. This is the handout we used.

Homework:

- Exercises 1a to 1d on page 199.
