Week 8: 27th & 29th October, 2025- Unit 2B and Halloween!!

- We read about a very special photo and used it to:

- See prepositions at, in, on

- To see examples of past continuous.

- We saw how to use past continous.

On Monday we went to see Ana and Turlogh telling us about Irish myths and legends ans singing Molly Malone, and Whisky in the Jar.

- We practised grammar exercises and video promps.

- We saw how to pronounce was/were

- We saw some Halloween vocabulary and revised spelling and the alphabet. 

- We saw a Halloween video about a wicked magic plant.  And about a very disturbing replacement. 

Homework:
- Tell us a story: choose your favourite photo and write what's teh mystery behind the photo.

- Read about the card on Irish music I gave you, to tell the rest of the class a little bit.

Week 7: 20th & 22nd October 2025- Revision of past forms

- We revised past forms telling about our weekends.
- We revised the pronunciation for -ed forms.

- We saw vocabulary on holidays.

- We practised structures to show interest.

- We told our classmates about our last holiday.

- We told our classmates about the Irish things we read about.

- We saw a video about Ireland and completed the gaps in teh sentences about it.

- We corrected Entry checker 3.

- We told each other a true and a false story with cards.

Homework:

- Workbook 2A and entry checker 4.

Week 6: Wednesday 15th October, 2025- Starting unit 2

- We talked about the long weekend we had had.
- We revised the practical English section of unit 1.

- We practised simple present and continuous with a find-the- difference activity of a museum and people doing things in it.

- We started unit 2 with a reading on losing something.

- We revised the formation of the simple past.

- We practised the grammar exercises for 2A.

- I gave you feedback on the writings and the recordings.

Week 5: 6th & 8th October, 2025- Finishing unit 1

 - We revised what we were wearing: clothes and accessories.
- We revised and practised present continuous.
- We practised describing people and activities with painting remakes.

- We listened for detail.

- We practised prepositions of place.

- We met the characters in A visit from the USA.

- We practised video comprehension, calling reception and social English structures.

- Photocopies of grammar.

Week4: 29th September & 1st October, 2025- Present simple revision

- We revised how to talk about physical appearance.

- We practised the pronunciation final -s.

- We listened to the story of a blind date between Jemma and Pietro.

- We saw vocabulary for character description.

- We corrected Entry checker 2

- We practised  DO/ DOES/ IS/ ARE questions with a board, dice and counters.

- We started 1C and saw vocabulary for clothes and pronounciation of long e and schwa

- We did a vocabulary exercise and completed the gaps of the song Imagine, by John Lennon.

- Writing of a profile of the writing bank on page 211.
