- We revised the use of adjectives.

- We saw vocabulary about feelings and we saw how to use imperatives and suggestions with Let's.

- We saw how to link words in a sentence.

Week 8: 30th October, 2023- Descriptions and more mysteries in Halloween

 

- We revised the use of adjectives in English.

- We practised long and short vowels.

- We described things in our bags.

- We found differences in images.

- We saw a mystery video to celebrate Halloween, The Magic Plant.

Week 7: 23 & 25 October, 2023- Halloween and more

 

- We revised structures from last week; Can you open the door? Can I have a pen? Would you like a tea?, spelling and vocabulary.

- We revised the formation of plural nouns in English and its pronunciation.

- We practised prepositions on, in and under.

- We did a listening exercise.

- We played Halloween games and saw a mysterious video: The Lift.

- We revised What's in your bag? and saw American icons and adjectives and modifiers.

- We practised more Halloween vocabulary

Week 6: October 16 & 18, 2023- Practical English- Checking in in a hotel and beginning of Unit 2

 

- Terminamos la parte de Practical English de Unit 1 y vimos vocabulario de hoteles, cómo registrarse en un hotel al llegar, como pedir que se haga algo, que te den algo y cómo ofrecer algo de beber. Can you/ Can I have/ Would you like

- Comenzamos la Unit 2 y vimos cómo se hacen los plurales en inglés.

- Revisamos posesivos y practicamos nuestra pronunciación con Eternal Flame de The Bangles.

Week 3: September 25 & 27, 2023- One world

 

- Terminamos la parte 1A del libro y comenzamos la 1B.

- Vimos diferentes países, aspectos de geografía y nacionalidades.

- Hicimos una prueba de lectura, escucha y escritura de diagnóstico.

- Vimos la manera de negar y preguntar con el verbo to be.

Week 2: September 16 & 18, 2023- Welcome to the class!

 

- Practicamos el verbo to be en afirmativo y cómo saludarse y presentarse. En el libro es la parte 1A

- Vimos la manera de construir frases afirmativas con el verbo to be y practicamos en la parte de gramática.

- Vimos sonidos vocálicos y cómo se plasma el acento en palabras de más de una sílaba.

-Vimos el vocabulario de días de la semana y números.

Week 1: 13th September, 2023- Welcome to the course!

 

En nuestro primer día nos familiarizamos con nuestros nombres, conocimos la escuela un poco y revisamos la información general para alumnos de la página web.  Vimos juntos el libro que vamos a usar y os di una hoja para rellenar sobre vuestra experiencia con el inglés. Terminamos con una canción, Friday I'm in Love by The Cure,

On our first day we got to know our names, had a look at the school and revised the general information for students on the web. We saw the book we're going to use and you got a profile sheet. We finished with a song Friday I'm in Love by The Cure,
