Week 23: 4th & 6th March, 2024- Unit 6: Telling a story with object pronouns

 - We finished Practical English and revised that we know how to apologize, buy clothes and say prices.
- We started unit 6 telling a North African Story in three parts.

- We saw how object pronouns work.

- We practised the pronounciation of some of the vowels in object pronouns.

- We practised when to use subject and object pronouns.

- Photocopy to practise present simple and continous and object pronouns.

- Record the story of 6A and send it to your teacher.

Week 22: 26th & 28th February 2024- London and Practical English

 

- We saw weather vocabulary.
- We practised the use of present simple and present continuous.

- We read about London and practised the pronunciation of some famous landmarks there.

- We started Practical English In the clothes shop.

Week 21: 19th & 21st February, 2024- Can and present continuous

 - We revised can/ can´t and its pronounciation.

- We saw different kinds of noise.

- We saw the formation of present continuous and practised the pronunciation of -ing.

- We identified the differences in pictures.

- We practised how to understand listenings.

- We saw the exhibition of Climate Change in Antarctica and matched some post-its to the photos.

Week 20: Feedback on the exam and unit 5

 

- We had a look ar the exam key, your results and I gave you personal feedback.
- We started unit 5.
- We saw more verb phrases.

- We did a listening on a singing contest.

- We saw how to use can/ can´t

- We practised can/ can't pronunciation.

- We practised with a questionnaire about our abilities.

Week 17: January 15th & 17th- Possession

 

- We practised family vocabulary. 
- 4A: we practised the pronunciation of some vowels.
- Listening on the family and family photos.
- We exchanged family photos too.
- We saw possession with 's and whose.
- We practised possession and the Saxon genitive with cards.
- We saw daily routine vocabulary.

Homework:

- Reading page 56 and exercise 3a.
- Grabarse leyendo un párrafo al menos de la lectura de la página 54 (Brad Pitt's brother)
- Listening from Elllo (uno de los fáciles de aquí) following the steps we said:

1. Se escucha sin leer el ejercicio (donde pone Quiz es el ejercicio) para ver de qué nos enteramos

2. Se lee cuidadosamente el ejercicio

3. Se escucha 2 veces intentando resolver el ejercicio.

4. Se comprueban las respuestas.

5. Se escucha de nuevo sabiendo todas las respuestas correctas, mirando el ejercicio y viendo si nos convencen las respuestas buenas.

6. Se escucha leyendo la transcripción al mismo tiempo. Ahora tendría que estar todo claro. Incluso se podría escuchar otra vez sin mirar la transcripción y ver que entendemos todo, todo está descifrado.

7. Se escucha y al mismo tiempo se lee en voz alta imitando la pronunciación

Week 16: 8th & 10th January, 2024

 

- We started the year with a revision of the time, a revision of questions and reading about people's family.

- Unit 4, possessive 's and Whose.

- We practised possessions and the vocabulary of family.

- We talked about the exam. Las partes escritas del examen del 30% de la evaluación contínua serán el lunes 5 de febrero a la hora de clase. La parte oral será el miércoles 7 de febrero en el horario que os entregaré la semana que viene.

Week 13: 4th December, 2023- Jobs and dogs ;-))

 

- We revised jobs and the formation of questions with second person singular and with third person singular.

- We started 3C Love me love my dog and practised the listening and the intonation for showing interest in a conversation.

- We revised long e and shwa in pronunciation.
