Week 21: 10th & 12th February, 2025- Present continuous

- We revised verb phrases for vocabulary.
- We saw how to use can/can't

- We did a questionnare on abilities and talents.

- We learnt about different noises.

Week 20: 3rd &5th February, 2025- Resume classes, revision of units 3&4 and start 5A

Okinawa food

- We saw the test from last week, we saw the good points and what we can improve. You have feedback on your oral an written productions.

REMEMBER a test is to learn. Your mistakes are wondeful opportunities to learn a lot.

- We saw a video about people in Okinawa.

- We read about David Guetta and listened to people speaking on the street.

- We started 5A and listened to Amy going to an audition.

Homework: -Record yourself making questions and answering, choose one set of questions.

- Write the writing of the exam again and give it to me.

Week 19: 27th & 29th January, 2025- Exams

Week 18: January 20th & 22nd, 2025- Unit 4

- We revised unit 3.

- We revised 4A and 4B

- We saw more vocabulary of time and verbs.

- We saw frequency adverbs in 4C.

- We read about blue zones in the world.

Revise everything and read aloud to prepare for the exam. 

Week 17: 13th & 15th January, 2025- We resume classes

Week 16: Wednesday 8th January, 2025- Happy New Year and welcome back!!

 

- We revised familiy vocabulary, the time, question formation, whose and possessive 's.

- We saw the vocabulary of the daily routine page 242: Busy Belinda and Chilled Charly

- We practised linking in words with exercise 2 on page 56.

How to prectise listening- Como trabajar los audios:

- Por ejemplo los ejercicios de Listening from Elllo (uno de los fáciles de aquí) following the steps we said, siguiendo los pasos que dijimos:

1. Se escucha sin leer el ejercicio (donde pone Quiz es el ejercicio) para ver de qué nos enteramos.

2. Se lee cuidadosamente el ejercicio.

3. Se escucha 2 veces intentando resolver el ejercicio.

4. Se comprueban las respuestas.

5. Se escucha de nuevo sabiendo todas las respuestas correctas, mirando el ejercicio y viendo si nos convencen las respuestas buenas.

6. Se escucha leyendo la transcripción al mismo tiempo. Ahora tendría que estar todo claro. Incluso se podría escuchar otra vez sin mirar la transcripción y ver que entendemos todo, todo está descifrado.

7. Se escucha y al mismo tiempo se lee en voz alta imitando la pronunciación

Week 15: December 16th & 18th, 2024- Last week of the year

- We revised possessive 's and whose.

- We studied vocabulary about the family.

- We saw pronuncation of letter o.

- We read about a very busy doctor in London in 4B.

- We sang a traditional Christmas Carol, Jingle Bells, and we saw the song of the English Department for the party, Here Comes Santa Claus, by Elvis Presley.

Homework: 

- Do all the workbook for units 1 to 3 if you don't have it done.
- Revise all the vocabulary of the units 1 to 3.

- Vocabulary Daily routine from Vocabulary bank.

Week 14: December 9th & 11th- The time and possession

- We saw how to tell the time.

- We saw how to order in a café.

- We practised the time and how to order in Practical English Episode 2.

- We revised the first 10 irregular past forms.

- We started unit 4 with possessive 's and Whose.

- We did a bingo of the time.

- We did a vocabulary test.

- Page 241 of the book: Vocabulary Bank The family, and a photocopy of practice of order in questions and possessives.

 

Week 13: December 2nd & 4th, 2024- Finishing unit 3

 

- We corrected the exercises of the film The Wrong Trousers, with vocabulary and instructions.

- We saw 3C Question words and how to use them in questions.

- We practised sentence stress.

- We spoke about our favourite things in pairs and in the group.

Week 12: 25th & 27th November, 2024

 

- This week we revised questions in present simple.

- We saw how to add Question words to questions in present simple.

- We saw how to show interest in a conversation.

- We revised vocabulary for jobs.

- We saw a short film: The Wrong Trousers.

We have to study the first 5 irregular verbs and record the text you have. Remember you have the model to imitate here.
